Drones, driverless cars, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) will seamlessly coordinate and transport goods and people for very little cost. VUCA, A Model for the Future
During the past few weeks, times are more uncertain than ever in our lifetime. The unexpected impacts from Coronavirus pandemic introduced unprecedented challenges to our economy, health, safety and livelihood. Abusability Testing
Today’s world, with digital technology everywhere, inspires people to pay attention to usability. Usability testing is the art and science of measuring if someone, who has some task, can use a thing to get their task done. Can a person do a thing? That’s usability.And remember, usability is not pass/fail. It’s a matter of degree, so things are relatively more usable. Or less. We can’t define an ultimate end point — something that’s usable can always be made more so.

Have you seen the wall?
Have you seen ‘the wall?’ We see the wall frequently. It’s a common moment on our visits to clinics and hospitals and other sites of care. On our research visits, Helpfully often begins our field work with a tour around healthcare facilities and we observe key moments in how patients and professionals navigate the spaces and get things done. What happens when? Where does a person go next? What’s ‘on stage’ and ‘behind the scenes’? Sometimes, we already know some of the pain points or a breakpoint in the patient journey. In other cases we get more latitude to explore and discover breakpoints.
